About the product

These artificial salmon egg clusters look, feel and smell like natural bait. They're super soft, floating baits that are LOADED with our secret blend of scents (Shrimp, Roe and other natural ingredients) that Salmon, Steelhead & Trout just can't say no to. Unlike beads or other hard egg imitations, these baits are super soft. When fish bite they hold on, allowing you to get a solid hook set. These large egg clusters are the size of a nickel (although many call them "quarter size") and are the preferred bait for moderate to higher flowing rivers. These work great for both summer and winter steelhead as well as salmon.

What's in the bag?

This is an Artificial Roe bait that is LOADED with REAL Shrimp & Roe scent and other natural ingredients that we have kept a secret (we can't give away all of our tricks). Not only do we package these baits with scent, they are also infused with scent during the manufacturing process. This double scenting truly sets our baits apart from the competition and gives our customers a serious advantage.

What is a Guide Pack?

A Guide Pack is a bulk pack of egg clusters (5 regular packs in one) at a discounted price. Guide Packs are sold as one color and one size per pack. The large come with 50 egg clusters per pack. These bulk packs are very popular for both fishing guides and weekend warriors alike. If you fish a lot and you know what size and color bait you like best, a guide pack may be the best choice for you.

The XFactor Difference

These baits are hand made in our own facility. We don't buy from some other source, we make them in house and all raw materials are 100% Made in the USA. Every detail of these baits has been carefully thought out. From size, to color to scent these baits are tailor made for Salmon and Steelhead fisherman. Our scent infusing process truly sets these baits apart from any other artificial bait on the market giving you an effective, easy to use, mess free and readily available alternative to natural roe.

Large egg clusters
These clusters have become one of my favorites for fall salmon, especially silvers. Last fall we had a big run of fish and I encountered a couple weeks of awesome egg fishing. But I was going through my eggs faster than I could restock them. Along came the Large cluster and I was one happy camper. (For size reference they are about the size of a nickel). I began fishing the clusters just like I was with my cured eggs and the fish were pouncing on them. I found out one day after I dropped a cluster in the left over egg juice that they will absorb some of the scent. Soon after I threw in multiple clusters and I basically was fishing with my cured eggs again but with the durability of these great baits. They work great drift fished as well as bobber dogging and again you can make cast after cast without re-baiting. It is so awesome to watch others burn through their eggs as you bait up as you can keep fishing the good water. Keep up the great work Jeff!!

Shrimp Pink Egg Clusters
Well I took them for a spin last week and I used the shrimp pink egg clusters. we hooked 3 summer steelies, my buddy got one on natural eggs and I hooked 2 on the egg clusters. they must work cuz I out fished him. I very impressed with the quality. cant wait to throw the slayer worms for winter run and the egg clusters should be killer to. hopefully this weekend ill be able to get back out and try them again. so far very happy with what I ordered, quality is top notch and they seem to catch fish pretty well. winter run season will be the real test but I have the utmost confidence in them. great work guys!

Large eggs
I have used the X Factor eggs several times with as good a success as real roe. For back bouncing it would be great to have an even larger cluster.

These are the real deal; they are soft but stay on the rig very well. If you hate the mess with handling real roe and the price of cured eggs, as I do, you will love this product. You will get many more casts in a day with these eggs and can do much faster retrieve without washing the eggs off; not so with roe. RP

Large clusters
Good quality. They hold up well and last until you lose them on a snag. Haven't fished them enough yet to really see how well they work for steelhead. I'll continue trying them the rest of the season.

Worked great
I purchased these specifically for a salmon fishing trip on the Klamath River in Northern California. I have fished here for over a decade and until last year, used only roe. Last year I was given some beads to try. They worked on the many small steelhead in the river, but the salmon bite was off for everything we were using. The soft beads (from another company) provided some fun catching at least. So this year I decided to bring some soft beads and came across this xfactor brand that actually looks like roe. I caught more salmon on the boat on this trip than all my friends and I was using the egg clusters. They were using roe and other beads. Well, until I started to share. I do wish I had purchased more than one color to use. And you need to use a small disk above the rubber stops to keep the cluster from sliding over the bobber stop. Otherwise once the cluster/bead gets pulled over the stop, it will need to be moved back into position frequently.
