How to: Steelhead dropper rig
This simple rig should be in every steelheaders bag of tricks. Give it a try! I do want to mention that this was NOT my idea...this tip was given to me by Steven Theel of S.O. Chrome Guide Service (so-chrome.com) while fishing with him on the Rogue River for winter steelhead...needless to say, we hooked a lot of fish that day on these dropper rigs and I've made it a point to always have these with me when we're side drifting for steelhead.
